North Korean Economic Data

A nice little bit on the relative economic fates of South and North Korea from Super-Economy.

The best part is this graph:

The North Koreans were doing just fine up til 1974, when their economy stopped growing. Something went really wrong 20 years later, in 1994. I don't know North Korea well enough to say what events those were specifically, but I would be curious to know.
