Reinaert Flemish Wild Ale Review

Reinaert Flemish Wild Ale
Belgian Pale Ale [Type 16] 9.0% ABV
Not really what I expected. I'm not sure exactly what I expected, but this was subtler. The taste is fruity and light. The mouthfeel is probably what throws me off. It is much less dense than I expect from this kind of beer.
The beer itself is a cloudy amber. It didn't "pop" when I opened it, but it had a pretty good head regardless. A little bit of sour, but not too much. I would say creamy with a tart finish. Not excessively malty, or yeasty. Maybe I'm just unfamiliar with the Belgian pale style. Real easy drinking, not what one might expect from 9.0% beer. Deceptive.

Pretty good. I would buy this beer again, if I saw it. I think I picked it up at World Market, but I was letting it age [inadvertently] in my liquor cabinet for some time.
