The Adventures of Fafhrd and the Gray Mouser Volume Two by Fritz Leiber is on sale today on Amazon for $2.99 USD. This is 90% off the rather comical list price of $32 USD for three ebooks, but the sale is at about the price point I look for in this kind of thing.

Leiber is justly famous for creating the duo of Fafhrd and the Gray Mouser, a pair of heroes in the ironic mode [borrowed from Northrop Frye’s excellent typology of stories]. I wrote up a review of Ill Met in Lankhmar, but you can find any number of glowing reviews of Leiber’s work. This is a pretty good price for some pretty good stuff.
